EUGENE, Or --- A coffee shop robber was shot Wednesday night by one of the shop's employees and was found dead at the scene. The deceased suspect's name is Sirus Combs, age 27, from Eugene.

Police say Combs and an accomplice robbed the Dutch Bros. stand at 2115 Franklin Blvd in Eugene at around 9pm. There was an exchange of gunfire during the robbery and one of the suspects was shot and killed by the employee.

Police are looking for the second suspect who is described as a white male aged 20 to 30 years old, 5'10" tall, blonde hair, last seen wearing jeans, brown hiking shoes with black bottoms and a zip-up puffy coat with a fold down collar.

A trainee took part of the morning off to go to the VA clinic here in town. He wanted to see if they'll fix the shoulder that began its ruination while he served in Iraq as a Marine.

He was to report at 08:00 for a blood draw.

Still absent at 09:00, I texted him. "Are you still in line?"

He texted back. "Well, no. We all took a number, just like at the DMV or the courthouse. The difference is, I'm surrounded by a bunch of respectable guys, rather than a bunch of felons and leeches."
